TipLink Overview
At first sight, TipLink appears as an ordinary vertical menu of text links. An optional background image can fill the entire applet area (tiled if required), and an additional image can fill the 'panel' area where the text links are shown. A number of parameters are available to set the color of the text links when unfocused, focused, clicked or selected; you can also set the font and vertical spacing between the links, and choose whether and how to display selector bars.
Moving the mouse over a link, an optional 'tooltip' message can be displayed describing the linked document. As you'd expect, the font and colors used by the tooltip are editable. The tooltip automatically wraps its text to a maximum of 25 lines, and adjusts its size and position within the applet.
TipLink supports our unique Satellite system, allowing external images or text to be displayed elsewhere on the page (or even in a separate frame or window). Like all linking Cool Focus applets, TipLink allows URL parameters to point to JavaScript methods rather than URLs if required, and can display a web-style hand pointer over links. |
