Upgrading to ClickClock 2.0

Of the multitude of changes made to v2.0 of ColorClock, only one of these has any impact on your current implementation of the applet. The FontName and FontSize parameters that existed in v1.0 have been retired, and the font settings are bundled into our now-traditional Font parameter. This has the benefit of letting you choose the style of font you want as well as its name and size.

All other changes are additions to the Clock's functionality. The default settings for each new parameter leave your current implementation unchanged, so you need only include these parameters if you want to take advantage of the new features.

  • Rather than being forced to use the fixed time/date format of v1.0, this version adds a Format parameter with a choice of 14 separate time/date styles.

  • A new SwitchFormat lets you choose another of the 14 formats to be optionally shown when the mouse enters the applet.

  • An AutoSwitch parameter can briefly display this alternative format every few seconds rather than on mouseOver.

  • A TextFocusColor parameter lets you choose a different color for the alternative format's text.

  • The displayed date/time can now be aligned to the left or right of the applet's width along with the center (which remains the default).

  • A 3D effect can be applied to the text with a choice of three color settings.

  • A new NumericalDate parameter allows dates to be displayed in short form.
